NW Regional Development Officer (Fixed Term Contract)


Fixed Term – January 2022 to March 2023
(North West Region)

Starting salary c.£26,500 plus car plus benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an organised, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our team of Regional Development Officers and coordinate Golf Foundation programmes in the North West region of England (Cumbria, Lancashire, Cheshire, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Isle of Man).

The Officer will work closely with PGA Coaches and officials/volunteers in golf clubs, and in partnership with officers from England Golf, to help more young people ‘Start and Stay’ in the sport. In addition, the successful candidate will work with a variety of national and local partners such as StreetGames, School Games Organisers, clubs and schools to help more young people enjoy the playing and personal benefits of golf.

A sound knowledge of sports development principles and practices is essential, as is experience of sports development work with schools, communities and clubs.

Good IT skills, experience of operating Microsoft Office, and the ability to communicate effectively in a variety of circumstances are all required. An appropriate leisure or teaching qualification is desirable. Applicants should have an interest, but not necessarily a background in golf. The Golf Foundation is seeking an individual that shares its core values.
