Luke’s amazing adventure starts with Worplesdon, West Hill & Woking

Luke Willett, ‘The Iron Golfer’, is all set to support national charity the Golf Foundation in a unique fundraising challenge of “Speed & Endurance”.

Luke is starting with a speed-of-light ‘3 W’s Challenge’ on Friday, August 7, where he will ‘Speedgolf’ around 18 holes at each of three world-renowned courses: Worplesdon GC, West Hill GC and Woking GC; running between courses with his clubs (no transport) and covering nearly 20 miles and 54 holes of golf in just three hours! Luke says: “I’m really looking forward to playing the superb ‘3 W’s’ as the golf at these famous clubs is second to none. It will be a delight to say hello to as many members as possible. This is about speed but I’ll still appreciate the beauty of these courses while I raise funds for a great cause, the Golf Foundation.”

All donations Luke receives are going to help our charity provide life changing opportunities to young people using the power of golf.

After the ‘3 W’s’ next Friday, Luke promises an “amazing golfing adventure”, with running, swimming, climbing and golfing over fells, mountains, and across water in late August (subject to regional rules over Covid-19). As a clue to its difficulty, Luke has run nine marathons in the last nine weeks, including the famous 3 Peaks Challenge in Yorkshire: and this is only the training for his adventure challenge to come.

Luke is really putting himself on the line to promote the health benefits of golf and doing a fantastic piece of fundraising for the Golf Foundation… why not support his efforts now at the above link? Thanks for your help!!

Last year, Luke raised funds for us via #TheGreatBritishOpenChallenge, when he cycled 830 miles around much of the UK to play all 14 of The Open’s historic golf courses, carrying his four golf clubs on his bike in all weathers, in just 10 days.

The Iron Golfer is a unique individual… worth your support which in turn helps us to support young golfers from all backgrounds and abilities.
