Our Golf Foundation team has thrown itself into the #CaptainTom100 Challenge in recent days with the aim of inspiring golfers out there to raise funds for our charity, which introduces children to golf, from all backgrounds, creating golfers.

In turn we encouraged others to do their own charity challenges around the figure 100 on the weekend of what would have been Captain Sir Tom Moore’s 101st birthday (Friday April 30 – Monday May 3).
Our team’s challenges included: our RDO for the North West Andy’s children, Ethan (aged 11) and Eva (aged seven), each aimed to hole 100 putts from around 100 inches (8.333ft). See their clip below, raising £220 so far!
A group of our Golf Foundation & England Golf Young Ambassadors have also stepped up to play an amazing 100 rounds together throughout May; they started this weekend and will provide regular updates from here.
Our Head of Fundraising Vanessa hit a spectacular 100 pitching wedge shots into a bucket from 100 feet (a great skills test that took 175 shots!), while our RDO for South Central Paul staged a unique challenge during his junior coaching on Saturday, where he tasked 19 youngsters new to golf to achieve 15 yard pitching shots over a rope a total of 100 times.
Meanwhile, our Communications Officer Joan and our RDO for the Central Region Alice both ran significant distances over 100 minutes in Hertfordshire and Derbyshire respectively.
Away from the links, our RDO for the South West Tom has been creating a huge splash locally by carving through 100 lengths of the swimming pool like the shark that gives him his nickname; our RDO for the East, Stacey, kickboxed, swam, ran and golfed for 100 minutes to show her support; while our Press Officer Ben took on his brother Jim in 100 devilishly difficult wedge shots from 30-45 yards nearest to the flag.
