The emerging from the lockdown last summer led to a mini boom for golf. More widely, our press officer Ben Evans feels that rather than seeing golf as an aloof or elitist game, more non-golfers were tuning into the health benefits of golf, for the first time.
With more non-golfers taking good walks beside, or on our golf courses, they have been peering in on our world of golf. We wonder what they think? As golf opens up again we should return any interested looks – giving our best smile and a wave – and learn a bit more about what makes these people tick. If we can, perhaps the links between club and community can become much stronger?
Read Ben’s blog here and, if you do play golf on Monday, be “sure to smell the flowers along the way”.
