Become a Young Ambassador

The Golf Foundation and England Golf's Young Golf Ambassadors are a team of young people who want to encourage more and more youngsters to get into golf, feel welcomed at clubs and develop a love of the game.

Their aim is to:

• Challenge perceptions
• Provide a voice for young people
• Influence the future direction of the sport
• Increase people’s understanding of the needs of young people
• Inspire others to participate
• Educate, innovate, challenge and inspire

Applications to be an England Golf & Golf Foundation Young Ambassador are now open. The Young Ambassador Programme has been running for a number of years now and has been developed to give young people the opportunity to be the voice of juniors in golf. The programme provides the opportunity to have input into the future of junior golf and at the same time gaining training and experiences to support individual development.

Applicants will need to be aged between 14 and 22 at point of application and be able to commit around 5 hours per month, for a minimum of 2 years. (See application pack for more information about the role.)

Applications are open until Friday 22nd October at 11.59pm and should be submitted via the England Golf website, click here to find out more.

If you have any questions regarding the Young Ambassador’s programme or application then you can contact either Laura Yapp England Golf Junior Participation Manager – laura.yapp@englandgolf.org or Alice Lowe Golf Foundation Regional Development Officer – alice@golf-foundation.org.

You can also get involved by following and engaging with the Young Ambassadors’ social media pages (Instagram @getgolfing,Twitter @GolfAmbassadors.) They’d love to hear from you!
