Over 30 schools enjoy Golfway Festival in Tyneside!

Over 300 primary school children from the North East region enjoyed a Golfway Festival at Temple Park Leisure Centre, Tyneside.

The first event of its kind in the new academic year, the inclusive golf festival saw 32 schools attend, with children of all abilities able to partake, have fun and be physically active.

The usability and safe nature of the Golfway Play equipment enabled numerous disabled young people to play golf for the first time.

Ian Harvey from the Golf Foundation said: "The Golfway Skills Festival is a fantastic opportunity to introduce children from all across Tyne and Wear to golf. Uptake from local schools has been unbelievable, we have around 300 pupils with special educational needs experiencing golf in a fun and inclusive way.”
