Junior Journey

Working together to grow the game

England Golf and The Golf Foundation are working in collaboration to provide opportunities to inspire children and young people to play golf through the junior journey.

We are committed to creating sustained participation and love for the game. The journey highlights the steps a young person takes from being a beginner, through to golf club membership.

Through working together and with golf clubs, we can:

• Support clubs to provide a journey for juniors to start and stay in golf

• Provide guidance to support the long term development of the junior section with workforce and volunteer development

• Grow the game, encouraging more young people to take that first swin

Through the collaboration our goals for Junior Golf are to:

• Introduce children and young people to golf

• Create positive perceptions of golf

• Provide opportunities to play regularly and develop lifelong skills

• Create fun experiences and inclusive cultures across the junior journey

• Inspire lifelong membership and love for the game

We aim to do this through the Junior Journey by inspiring enjoyment and inclusion for children and young people in golf – whether it be from the first swing at a school, to getting the most out of golf club membership.
