Equality Statement

‘Golf belongs to everyone’

The Golf Foundation is committed to creating opportunities for all young people to enjoy golf in their communities.

Together with our partners, we are striving to make the game more inclusive by expanding the network of organisations we work with and reaching out to communities who might not previously have had the chance to play golf. In doing so we can broaden the diversity of the sport and welcome more young people to the game.

Making the game more accessible and inclusive is at the heart of our charity’s work. Working closely with experts such as Sporting Equals has helped us to frame our diversity work positively for the time ahead.

The Golf Foundation has signed up to the Sporting Equals Race Equality Charter to commit to its 3 principles below, but will apply this model to all areas of Inclusion and Diversity:

  • Capture (research and insight)
  • Commit (putting it into action)
  • Celebrate (telling the story and highlighting success)

We will be sharing more about our work in this area over the coming months.

Please get in touch if you need any help or guidance on making your club an inclusive environment for juniors.
