The Hero’s Handshake is an award for young people presented by young people in the golfing community.
The awards are run by the Young Ambassadors – supported by The Golf Foundation and England Golf and aim to motivate others to get involved with their community and reward those who are making a difference.
The awards aim to encourage more young people to ‘get stuck into’ the promotion of golf in their areas, and to recognise all types of achievements at all levels of the game, from local to national.
In 2024 we will be awarding three Hero’s Handshake awards, encouraging nominations which focus around the Young Ambassador core values which are “Inclusive, Innovative and Inspiring”. Any young person up to the age of 25 can be nominated.
The awards give well-deserved recognition to those that continually have a positive impact on their golf clubs and communities.
When are nominations open?
Round 1 – 6th March to 3rd April 2024
Round 2 – 22nd May to 19th June 2024
Round 3 – 7th August to 4th September 2024
