GIRLS GOLF ROCKS @ THE BUCKS

At the Buckinghamshire Golf Club On Monday 6th May (the practice day for the US Women’s Open Qualifier), the Ladies European Tour is hosting a girls golf development event in support of the Girls Golf Rocks initiative. The event is targeting girls with an interest in golf and it’s free to attend.

The programme will start with a briefing for all attendees at 1:45pm and then participants will be split into three groups. The groups will rotate round a variety of activities and presentations starting at 2:00pm and finishing at 5:00pm. These will include:

  • Q&A sessions with LET players
  • A giant inflatable dartboard chipping challenge
  • A long putt challenge
  • A mini putting course
  • A Colour Path Golf chipping challenge
  • An introduction to the LET

There will also be:

  • An opportunity to take a photo with the Solheim Cup
  • An art competition to design a special message for the European Solheim Cup team

Girls are welcome to turn up before this special event starts, to walk the course and watch the players practicing, but the activities won’t be available until after the briefing. The event will conclude with a mass photo involving all the girls and some LET players.

Parents and other family members will be able to take part in some of the activities or could simply relax after purchasing some food and drink from the bar.

If you know of any girls who would like to attend the event, their parents or guardians should contact Mike Round, the LET’s Development Director – [email protected]. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

The event is being organised in partnership with England Golf and the Golf Foundation, and is being supported by The R&A and the BGIA Grow Golf Fund.
