Described as “simply a golf day like no other”, a unique ‘win-win’ for golf lovers who support the junior game returns to glorious Goodwood for a third year with the Golf Foundation.
‘Glorious GolfSixes at Goodwood’ takes place on Thursday, 1st September 2022, and booking is now open for this must-play golf day in the event calendar.
The day features an amazing welcome from the Golf Foundation and the Goodwood team, an acclaimed golf course (The Downs), skills challenges, luxurious on-course refreshments, a tour of one of England’s finest houses and a gala dinner you and your friends will always remember.
All funds raised will support our charity’s work that offers youngsters the golfing opportunities that so many of us enjoyed when we were their age.
Daren Treacy, Managing Director of Diamond Golf, says: “This is a fantastic golf day to share with friends and clients. Fun competition, camaraderie and fine dining at an iconic golf venue: we loved it and are returning again this year.”
Start your day with breakfast at The Kennels before enjoying our special golf coaching clinic (with a Golf Foundation Ambassador), test yourself in a range of on-course challenges on The Downs Course in a famous ‘Woody buggy’, before finishing off the day dining in the elegant splendour of Goodwood House. This event was a huge hit last year, with its mix of fun, modern format scoring, a beautiful course and a historic stately home in which to welcome the competitors.
Fun, competition & camaraderie
“It’s the whole vibe of the day… the welcome, the course and the brilliant social side. It’s simply a golf day like no other,” says Nicole Wheatley, CEO of Medi8 Golf.
Vanessa Bell, Head of Fundraising for the Golf Foundation, said: “The Golf Foundation and Goodwood firmly believe in the future of golf, making it a more accessible game for all. If you agree with us, all you have to do is join us for a golf day that you will never forget – and this will be a hugely supportive gesture for our work to change the lives of young people through golf.”
Competitors taking part in the first two years really enjoyed the exciting and innovative playing formats experienced on the day around ‘GolfSixes’ team golf.
All money raised on the day will support Golf Foundation initiatives introducing children to golf, from all backgrounds, creating golfers. We do this because golf can change lives.
