Presented to a volunteer who has made a significant impact in the development of grass roots junior golf.
Steven Carlise has been Junior Organiser at Garforth GC for 5 years. When he was appointed to the voluntary position the club had just 6 juniors, there are now 50. Steve is a fantastic volunteer who always goes above and beyond to support the junior section. As a result of his efforts, Garforth GC has embraced many Golf Foundation initiatives and is now a HSBC Golf Roots Centre, has registered as a Special Olympics Club and SafeGolf Centre while working towards GolfMark accreditation. Steven’s involvement has ensured the continual development of the junior section and has encouraged more youngsters to become members.
