Presented to a project that has created more opportunities for girls to play golf.
Under the leadership of PGA Professional Sally Hinton-Lewis, Close House GC has helped to deliver one of the most successful projects increasing girls’ participation in golf in Northumberland, through the Girls Golf Rocks programme. In 2018, 30 girls attended the initial GGR taster session and 27 of the participants subsequently continued on to structured coaching. The Close House GC sessions were so oversubscribed that Sally even directed girls to local golf clubs.
