As we reach the end of January, I wanted to drop you a quick note and update you on our progress with Unleash Your Drive in Schools. As President of the Golf Foundation, my big dream has been to help mental wellbeing among young people, through our wonderful sport of Golf and I’m so proud that we’ve started doing just that.
Since the launch in September 2023, we’ve had almost 500 schools register their interest in joining the programme and delivering to the young people, and we’ve already started sending kit bags out now.
We should start seeing results soon, so I can’t wait to share our early impacts with you.
The Unleash Your Drive Final is coming together as well.
We are all set for a trip to Wentworth in August where I’ll be hosting 72 Golf Foundation fans, and the DP World Tour have confirmed that the three best players on the day will earn a spot in the BMW PGA Championship Pro-Am. What an awesome prize! Our first three winners are confirmed, so I look forward to seeing Kevin Walsh, Mike Bray and Daniel Spencer on the first tee of the West Course.
