Unleash Your Drive Final – Terms and Conditions
In entering the competition to Play Your Way to the BMW PGA Championship Pro-Am at Wentworth, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and agree to the terms and conditions.
The Unleash Your Drive Final Competition is open to participants of any age and resident in the UK & Ireland only.
Unless otherwise stated, our competition is open all except for the draw element where employees of The Golf Foundation, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the draw will not be eligible.
Entrants under 18 must have consent from their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) before entering. The parent(s) or legal guardian(s) of entrants under 18 agree to these Terms and Conditions on behalf of the entrant.
1 – Entries
1.1 Entries are made by registering at https://unleashyourdrive.golf-foundation.org/#donate
1.2 All entries are considered valid when:
i. Minimum £5 donation has been accepted through The Golf Foundation payment platform.
ii. Stableford score/evidence of scorecard has been submitted through the link received via email sent to the address provided at time of entry.
1.3 For WHS Handicap Index® entries:
i. Scores must be entered onto the World Handicap System™ through a Competition score or General Play score.
ii. Score must be visible on the World Handicap System™ matching the date, course and score submitted via the score submission link, sent to the address provided at the time of entry.
1.4 Competition scores are played under a general set of conditions and therefore acceptable by The Golf Foundation.
1.5 General Play scores are eligible by ensuring:
i. You have registered for General Play score before tee-off,
ii. Played with at least one other person,
iii. Ensured the round is in accordance with Rules of Handicapping,
iv. Score is testified correctly.
1.6 The Golf Foundation will verify all scores on the World Handicap System™.
1.7 The Golf Foundation has the right to check any scores with the golf club relating to the Top 30 scores qualifying for the Unleash Your Drive Final.
1.8 For non-WHS Handicap Index® entries:
i. Evidence of a scorecard must be submitted via the scorecard submission link on the email sent to the address provided at the time of entry.
ii. Your entry will be submitted into a draw to win a place in the Unleash Your Drive Final.
2 – Qualifying
There are 30 places allocated to those with a WHS Handicap Index®. A further 10 places are allocated to those who do not have a WHS Handicap Index® and the draw.
i. The Top 30 Stableford scores for players with a WHS Handicap Index® will receive a place in the Final.
ii. Ties shall be decided on the last 9, 6, 3 or 1 holes of the submitted score. If a tie still arises it shall be decided on the last 9, 6, 3 or 1 holes of the first nine holes of the submitted score.
iii. The Golf Foundation reserves the right to withdraw the Unleash Your Drive Final offer to any participant in the event of any qualifying queries.
3 – Playing Standards for Unleash Your Drive Final
3.1 All participants qualifying for the Unleash Your Drive Final must be able to play to the following handicap requirement: 24 (male) and 36 (female).
3.2 Those qualifying without a valid WHS Handicap Index® must meet the minimum handicap requirements under World Handicap System™ by 31st July 2024.
i. England Golf are providing a complimentary 12-month subscription to iGolf for players who win a place and do not have a Handicap Index® under the World Handicap System™ so they can obtain a Handicap Index® prior to the Final.
ii. The offer in 3.2.i is only available to those who are resident in England and subject to the following T&Cs https://members.whsplatform.englandgolf.org/igolf-terms-and-conditions/
3.3 In exceptional circumstances, The Golf Foundation will accept verification from a PGA Professional of the individual playing capabilities.
3.4 In the event that any person qualifying for a place in the Final is unable to participate due to handicap restrictions, they must inform The Golf Foundation as soon as possible and by 31st July 2024.
4 – Draw
4.1 There is a free entry method for the draw element of Play in May: Write or type your full name and address including postcode (no P.O. Box addresses accepted), email address, Play in May Competition with either i. WHS membership number, Handicap Index® under the World Handicap System™, Course Played, Date Played, Stableford Score, or ii. Course Played, Date Played, Stabeford Score and include Copy of Scorecard on either a postcard or letter to: The Golf Foundation, Ambition Broxbourne Business Centre, Pindar Road, Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, EN11 0FJ. No hand delivered mail accepted. No mechanically reproduced entries are permitted. Illegible entries will be void. Only one entry per outer mailing envelope or postcard. Entries must be received by the last day of the applicable entry period. The Golf Foundation is not responsible for lost, late, mutilated, delayed, inaccurate, incomplete, postage due, misdirected, or late entries. You can enter as many times as you like. All handicap requirements for players as stated above.
4.2 Winners will be selected using a random process from all eligible entries received.
5 – Winners, Places and Notification
5.1 Winners will be notified via email to the address provide at time of entry by 5pm Friday 14th June 2024.
5.2 Winners must confirm their place by 5pm Friday 28th June 2024.
5.3 Places in the Final are non-exchangeable and not redeemable for cash or other prizes.
5.3 Places are non-transferable unless by prior agreement with The Golf Foundation.
5.6 The decision of The Golf Foundation in all matters under its control is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
