We need your help with supporting the important #RightToBeActive campaign
Being physically active on a regular basis improves a child’s physical and mental wellbeing.
Unfortunately, 80% of girls and 77% of boys are not active enough to stay healthy while 20% of children are classed as obese by the end of primary school. Despite this, 93% of children say they like being active.
The Golf Foundation has teamed up with the Sport and Recreation Alliance, who work closely with government to help create an active nation, to campaign for every child to have the fundamental #RightToBeActive.
The Foundation’s team will keep promoting golf in schools in the year ahead, delivering fun, easy-to-play golf formats such as Tri-Golf and StreetGolf via the School Games to around 3,000 schools. In addition, all of our club activities – under the umbrella of HSBC Golf Roots Centres – 500 welcoming and junior friendly golf clubs across the country – offer a fun and active introduction to the sport coached by qualified PGA Professionals.
We are urging you to help us get more kids outside enjoying the benefits of golf and create awareness about this important campaign to give every child the #RightToBeActive.
It would be great if you could sign this petition and share with your friends and family.
